Long Arm Usage Class

- You will learn how to properly load your quilt onto the long arm and how to use all of the functions of the machine so that you will be able to use it before you schedule your first long arm rental. Please call to schedule a time if there are no long arm usage classes on the calendar during your availability. (216 417-1155)

Skill Details: | Have a basic understand of free motion quilting. |
Requirements: | IMPORTANT. Prepare your materials for the long arm. Backing fabric: 1-1/2 yard x 36" of solid or blender Top material: 36" x 30" of solid or blender Batting 36" x 36" Do not baste your sandwich. Make sure your fabric is pressed and the fabric is cut square with straight edges and salvages are removed. Bring: A notebook. |

Instructor Bio: | Megan Sorn reluctantly learned to sew when her dear friend Karol Fischbach insisted that she attend her free quilting class at church. Having failed sewing in 7th grade she decided that she was doomed to a life without sewing. Karol was a wonderful instructor and Megan has been obsessively quilting ever since. She likes to share her knowledge with others and uses her art school background to help people create free motion designs and choose colors/fabrics. Her newest love is designing in wool. |
